TCS associated with Tata Medical Center for this event.

The Indian Cancer Registry shows that maximum numbers of specific cancers come from the East of India. The lack of advanced facilities for treatment and care has adversely affected the lives of thousands of cancer patients from the East.

The Tata Group has gifted a Rs 350 crore not-for-profit, world-class cancer hospital in Kolkata, to the East.
Mr. Ratan Tata inaugurated the Tata Medical Center on 16th May 2011. The hospital is fully functional and has treated close to 27000 patients. 10% of these are children.

The hospital provides the entire spectrum of services from prevention, diagnosis and therapy to rehabilitation and palliative support. It is equipped with modern facilities and the state-of-art medical equipment. The hospital currently has more than 125 doctors along with hundreds of other experienced staff who perform complex surgeries, radiotherapies, chemotherapies and other procedures to treat these patients.

Ajoyendra Mukherjee handed over the proceeds of the event to their Medical Director, Dr. Ramanan.

From actor Shahrukh Khan to Corporate honcho Kiran Mazumdar Shaw… to a peon in a Kochi government office, so many have come forward to support the cause.

Thank you for your large hearted support!
